Collection: "Sterntaler" Planetary Tuned Tingshaws

Sterntalers are part of the 7 Cosmic Collection of Martin Bläse, a collection based on the planetary tuning.

Sterntalers translates to Star Coins, and the name is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale as they look like coins and are based on planetary tuning.

The sound is perpetual and rings for an extended duration. The small sterntalers weigh up to 8 ounces each while the large can weigh up to 1 pound each. The heftyness not only adds significant resonance but also allows for harmonic and overtone control with the movement of the pieces as you conduct the sound.

These pieces are cold forged from Bronze. The metal itself is an alloy made from copper and tin.  Copper represents Jupiter, the God of Thunder (fitting for the use of sound) while Tin represents Venus, the God of Beauty. Bronze is the daughter of these two metals...fusing together the attribute affixed. Bronze is affixed to the beauty of sound.
