The Multidrum is a development from Majid Drums and combines two completely different striking surfaces in a single instrument.
The front of the Multidrum is covered with a goat skin, which gives this side the warm sound of a frame drum. The skin of the Multidrum can be tuned by means of a rubber hose, which is fixed between the edge of the skin and the frame, with a standard bicycle air pump.
The back of the Multidrum offers a striking surface made of thin birchwood. Here the Multidrum suddenly sounds very much like Cajon! The corresponding snare carpet can be adjusted as desired and is fixed on both sides with a slight distance from the frame so that further sound variations are possible there.
